It's great to be 8!

I seriously cannot believe I have an eight year old.  It is so amazing how quickly they grow up.  I am so lucky to be the mom to Dallin.  He is very thoughtful, energetic, fun to talk to, helpful, my protector, and his little brother's protector.

He wanted an electric scooter for his birthday, unfortunately I had hidden it in the motor home, and before I could move it, he saw it. I was impressed that he came to me and told me that he had found it.  I know I would have just pretended not to see, and then tried to act surprised on my birthday. (hmm maybe I have done that a time or two.) I am grateful that he does try to do what is right.

He got this before he went to school on his birthday.

Going for a test drive before school.
I needed to have a picture on display for Dallin's baptism so we had a photo shoot at our house, here are a few of the good shots I was able to get. It certainly helps, when you have a child that loves to pose.
Can he be more GQ? I didn't tell him to do anything, this was all on his own.

It was also his idea to have his scriptures by him, and then one of him reading.  I love this kid!

My three guys, nothing better!
On May 5, 2012 Dallin was baptized by my dad.  It was such a special day for him.  Dallin has been worried and also preparing for this day for a long time.  He was more than a little worried that his dad wouldn't be able to baptize him.  We worked through a lot of emotions about this, but he said he wanted to pray about who should baptize him, and this was probably 6 or 7 months ago.  He later told me, that he had gotten an answer and he wanted Grandpa Hansen to baptize him.  A few days later my parents were at my house, and Dallin got up on my dad's lap and asked him if he would baptize him.  It was such a tender moment.  About 1 month before the baptism Dallin had made a pair of glasses at school.  He thought they were so cool, and since there was tape on the "lenses" they would help grandpa see.  He wanted to give them to him, and he also wrote a note with them saying, "This is an early thanks for baptizing me gift, Love Dallin".  How incredibly sweet!

I love this picture!
Neil of course came up for Dallin's special day.  It would not have been complete without his dad there.  I am so grateful that he is always there for whatever the kids are doing.

After the baptism, we all come to the house for lunch and Dallin's birthday party.  I really wanted a picture of me and the boys.  Maybe I should not have tried too hard, the kids look great, me not so much.
Dallin wanted a Jazz Birthday cake, I think it turned out pretty good.

He got a new watch,
a journal, and several other things like clothes! He needed them, and he loves new clothes even though he wouldn't admit that at his party.
Blowing out the candles, I have got to learn, not to pull this face whenever the kids blow out candles.  I do it every time and look like a dork, but Dallin's face is awesome, so you get to see it!
My birthday boy, My freshly Baptized Dallin!
I love you more than you will ever know, and I am so proud of the choices and decision that you made.  I could not be more proud or happy to be your mom! I love you!

Little and there

Crazy hair kids love it, with boys there really isn't a whole you can do but this is what Camden came up with for his hair.

He loved it!
Making his monster noises.
Bryson, of course had to get it on the action.
Dallin had an assignment to make a small robot out of boxes, paper towel rolls etc.  They were suppose to name all of the shapes that they put on this robot.  I was not that thrilled about making it, and then one day when the boys came home from Neil's, Dallin walked in and said was my robot suppose to be big or small.  I said small, and his face fell, he said I made a robot with dad, but it is huge, it is taller than me.  They brought in this......
There was no way I was going to have him remake it.  Dallin and his dad worked very hard on it, and Neil said Dallin came up with all of the ideas.  It is SuperBot.  You can't tell from these pictures, but there is little blue "gems" under the sunglasses for the eyes.  He did such a good job on the robot!
Bryson came and said I did my hair... so proud of himself.
Needless to say, he had to have another shower.

My boys sure do keep me going, and I love them so much.  I couldn't be more proud to be their mom.

Look who is 3!

I am sure that I am just like all moms, and when it is my kids birthday, I think all about the day they were born.  Whenever it is Bryson's birthday, that always comes with a little anxiety (I don't understand why hahaha) I also look back and think of the many miracles I saw with my little man.  I am so grateful to have him in our family.  He is so much fun, and keeps me laughing everyday.  He has such a fun personality and can be so darn sweet!

The boys couldn't wait to see Bryson open a present so they are all still in pajama's. I loved how excited they were for him.

Bryson has been asking for Lego's for his birthday.  He was pretty excited to get his own bucket of them!

Building his Legos!
Bryson's birthday fell on a Sunday this year, so we had his family birthday party on his birthday.  I love the look on his face.  I should have put the camera in sports mode, so the pictures are a little blurry.  Who knew you needed sports mode for a 3 year old's birthday.  I guess I should have known, since this is my 3rd little boy!
Army guys!
More Legos!

Bryson still loves Micky Mouse, so when Dallin was looking at cake ideas for him.  Bryson loved this one.  I am just glad it turned out looking pretty good.

Blowing out his candles!

I love my little man!
I still can't believe my baby is 3! It blows my mind.  It is still amazing to me to look at him, and think about all the things he battled the first months of his life, you would certainly never know now!  I love his spunk, I love his little voice, I love his smile, I love his snuggles and kisses, yep I love this boy!
