Jazz game

I really have the best ex-husband you could ask for.  I never wanted to be in the situation I am in, but I am very happy that Neil and I have been able to remain friends and work together to raise our boys.  Neil is very generous and still takes such good care of the boys and me.  He gave us tickets to a Jazz game and also arranged for the company limo to take us to and from the game.  I can't tell you how much that means to me, since I am a chicken and I don't like to have to walk to my car after the game.

The ride down.......

They were so excited and we all had a great time at the game, and the Jazz won! That always adds to a great game experience!

Bryson was reading up on the players... he cracks me up.  He kept asking for his book.
We had a great night, and it was a lot less stressful than the last time I took the boys to the game.  I was very happy about that!

Merry Christmas!

My good friend Paulette Rackham has a display of pictures of her kids with Santa every year.  I love that tradition and have done it with my kids.  It is so fun to see how much they have grown up and changed each year.  This is our picture with Santa this year.

Last year Santa sent an elf to our house to keep track of my rowdy boys! We named him and his name is Batty Bubba Lewie.  I didn't take too many pictures, but here are a couple of the things he did.  I loved the message he left them!
Another morning, they found Batty with a note that said "Go look in the mirror, PS I love Rudolph".
This is what they saw.....their noses were painted red like Rudolph.

I know I have said this before, but I love Christmas! I get so excited, I am pretty sure my kids sleep better than I do on Christmas Eve.  I was very happy they woke up early, I was starting to think I would have to wake them up again! I did sneak out before they woke up and took a picture.  I love how peaceful and magical it looks on Christmas morning!  Before the chaos of all the wrapping paper and messes that is.

I also asked the boys to stand by their piles so I could take a picture before the destruction begins! I was happy they all did, without too much complaint.  Cam was having a hard time opening his eyes because it was too bright.  But eventually they all did!

Dallin really wanted an Ipod this year, he was very happy to get one!

I love the look on his face as he showed my dad his new case.

I need to blog when things are happening, because I can't remember what Cam's big request was for Christmas, but both he and Bryson wanted Ninja Turtles.

Bryson wanted Ninja turtles as well! I told Santa we had plenty of toys and to keep our presents down, I  not sure he listened to well!

We had a great Christmas! My parents and Brett came and spent the night at my house as well.  It is always nice to have them over.

Christmas Festivities!

I have got to stop getting so far behind, it isn't very fun to write about Christmas when it is June! I love getting the Christmas tree up.  I setup it up, put the lights and bows on while the boys were at their dad's.  That tends to help since I always have a hard time with the dang lights.  It is a prelit tree and I have had tons of problems with it! The boys love to decorate it, and they love finding their ornaments.  My mom gives each of us an ornament on Thanksgiving.

I bought a gingerbread train.  I thought it would be perfect since their were 3 cars and everyone could decorate a car.  Of course they had to fight over who had the engine. I guess I should have known! Once we got to the decorating the boys had a blast.  I was very impressed with how determined and focused Bryson was! That is a miracle in itself!

 It turned out pretty cool!

Bryson had a Christmas Program at school.  I am certainly biased, but he was so cute!
I love how he is putting down his thumb to make 4 little monkeys.
Then they sang a song about a firetruck and putting out the fire.  I got down on his knee and was spraying the water.  It was so cute.
 Ringing the bells!
He made a froot loop candy cane.  I think he ate 2 pieces of cereal for every one that he put on his candy cane.  He cracks me up!
I think we are all ready for Christmas, can't wait for the big day!

Ward Christmas Party

To say our Ward Party was amazing is an understatement.  The invitations were a scroll declaring that we should all travel to Bethlehem to pay our taxes.  The gym was completely transformed into the town of Bethlehem.  Our taxes were canned food to be donated to the Food Bank.  Then when we paid our taxes we were given coins, that would be used to purchase our dinner.

We purchased some food from "WoolMart".  Dinner was pita bread, chicken, meatballs, fruits and cheeses.  I was worried my kids wouldn't eat anything, but they loved it!

We were suppose to dress up, and so we all did.  It was such a fun night.

After dinner we watch a reenactment of the Nativity, we watched as Mary and Joseph were turned away at the Inn's.  Then we all went out side to see a "Live Nativity" which included animals! The kids were so excited and it was very neat! There was a Camel, goats, sheep and a donkey.  It was incredible!

This party was held right after Thanksgiving and it was a great way to start the Christmas Season.
