Three Mile Creek has a fun tradition at the end of the school year.  They hold a triathlon, you can do it by yourself or with a friend.  There is a run, bike race and then an obstacle course.  If you have a partner one runs, one bikes and you complete the obstacle course together.  Dallin called Quade to see if they could be partners.  Quade was just recovering from having pneumonia and Trisha thought it would be best for him to ride and Dallin to run.  I was a little worried Dallin wouldn't be too happy because he loves to ride his bike, but he agreed.  I was pretty impressed with his run! He was about 4th or 5th in the run.  They participate by grade, so out of all the 3rd graders, he did pretty well.  Especially considering he has never "ran" a race before.

After the runners finished they had to wait for the partner while they biked.  This is Cooper, Dallin, Bridger and Trey.
They are off to the obstacle course.  I didn't get very good pictures, but all well.  They had to skip down the field.

Then they had to kick a soccer ball in the goal.  I totally missed getting a picture of it!

Then they had to race to the finish line,  Quade was falling behind (he was still not fully recovered from his pneumonia) he reached out and Dallin helped pull him to the finish line.

I loved that Dallin was there to help him and they did so well!
They finished 3rd, they were both very happy with the results! Only the top 3 of each grade get a prize, so of course they were very happy!

It is such a fun day at school.  They love it!
