My Birthday

I don't think I have ever posted about my own birthday, I don't really love my birthday.  This year, I had to post to show what an amazing little man I have.  He can be the most thoughtful person.  I can't remember the exact reason, but Dallin stayed with me the day before my birthday, but Camden and Bryson went to Neil's.  He got up early and I could hear him in the kitchen but I didn't get up.  Pretty soon I heard him sneak and peak around the corner in my room.  He informed me not to get up yet.  A few minutes later he came and got me and made me walk to the kitchen with my eyes closed.  He had made me breakfast all by himself, he even had my chocolate milk ready.  It was seriously the sweetest thing ever.
He even made me a heart shaped pancake! Then he said we better eat quick these are probably cold. He then told me it was hard getting everything ready at the same time.
  It was the best breakfast!
Then when I picked up the kids this is what they had bought for me.  Dallin had requested Neil to get me some flowers, and the boys picked out candies, stuffed animals and cards.  Their cards fit them perfectly.  It was very sweet and it was a great birthday!

It's the most wonderful time of the year, well pretty close!

I must be a terrible mom because I was very ready for school to start this year.  All the kids were pretty excited for school to start.  Dallin would say he wasn't excited, but I know he was ready.  Here are my handsome studs on the first day! I love that they go to the same school and can leave at the same time!

Look out Fourth Grade, here he comes!

 Second Grade, ready or not!
I am such a dork, I seriously loved that they could walk together.  I had to get a picture!
I have the kids ride the bus on the first day, but I drive separately and meet them at the school to get them into their classes.  See I told you I was a dork! Ready for their day!

Bryson's school started the following week and he could hardly wait for his turn to go to school.  He would ask all day where are the boys? When are they coming home? He definitely missed his buddies to play with.  Here is my handsome baby ready for his first day of Preschool.
 I mean seriously?????
Mom, get my pack pack.  I love how he says, too stinkin cute for his own good!

One last picture of his school! I was very excited to have my whole 2 hour break, and I couldn't wait until 11:30 rolled around and it was time to pick him up!

All the boys had a great first day of school, whew! I always worry especially that first day if things are going ok, if they like their teacher and if they like some kids in their classes.  I was relieved to get them home and to find out everything was fine!

Heart Check up!

Every year Bryson has to go down to Primary Children's Hospital for his heart check up.  I was thinking when I made the appointment the kids would be back in school but I missed by a day.  The boys stayed home with a babysitter and Neil and I went to his appointment.  I do always worry if they will find something bad, but I really worry if Bryson will hold still enough to get the echo done!  He has to lay pretty still for about 30 to 45 minutes, for a kid as active as him it is quite the undertaking. They have TV's mounted to the wall and he watched a movie.  He does pretty good for the most part, but he does get a little tired of laying still.

They had just been to a party for Neil's work and he had his Flexpak tattoo on his arm.  That was a really good tattoo, it lasted for weeks! He loved it.  After the echo comes the EKG, I think he look so little after they get all those "stickers" on him.
He did a great job on this text too. The best part of the day is hearing the doctor tell me he is doing great and his heart looks great! We asked if he is ok to play sports and such since this coming spring he is old enough to play soccer.  He is cleared for sports! The only sport my doctor worries about is football where he could take a hard hit to the chest.  I think that is just this doctor's worry because other kids with more severe heart problems are cleared for football.  We will take it one day at a time and see what sports this little fighter of mine wants to play.  I don't think there will ever be a day that I won't worry about him, but it sure is nice to hear that is doing great!

One last trip to the pool!

The boys and I have been to the pool several times this year, and it has been so nice.  I know it helps that the older two are excellent swimmers and Bryson does great with a floatie! All three of my kids are fish and they love to be in the water.  They would be thrilled to go everyday if I let them.  We decided we needed to go one last time and the Ricks' were going too! The kid had so much fun going together and I have to say I had so much fun too, because I had someone to talk to.  I was able to take a few pictures of they boys.  I love how Bridger and Dallin are watching each other the entire way in.

 Cannon ball!
Jackson and Camden were having so much fun jumping in! I feel so bad though I told Camden to get closer, I meant to each other so I can take a picture. He thought closer to the wall, so when he jumped in right up to the wall and scraped his belly.  It didn't stop him very long, and they went right back to jumping.

I think these pictures show their crazy personalities perfectly!

Bryson would play with the boys and then go down the slide by himself.  I love that even though he is the baby he can be every independent.  Not all the time of course!

It was a great way to end our summer festivities, although I didn't go on a big trip with them we still had lots of fun close to home.  They did get to go on 2 trips with Neil, one to Branson and the other to Colorado.  It was a great summer!

Lava Hot Springs

I did the worst job of not taking pictures this summer.  I guess it goes to show you all what a non-eventful summer we had! We did go to Lava Hot Springs for a weekend.  We went for my mom's family reunion.  We had a blast and I conquered a fear of mine! This river used to scare me to death. Perhaps it is because it was the end of the summer and we had a very dry summer! I liked the fact that the river was low.  I let Dallin and Camden float the river with Brady and Amanda I got a few shots of them.
 Dallin, Gage and Derek
They were fearless and would go over the waterfalls! I was a nervous wreck at the top watching.  Dallin did go out a few times, but Derek was very good to get him right back in.  They loved it, even though it terrified me.
After they conquered the "second" waterfall they went up higher went over the "first" waterfall.  Now I thought I was a wreck on the "second" I was so scared on the other.  I didn't think they would make it.  At this point Brady, Amanda and Cam had not fallen off, Cam told us he had a force field to protect them so they wouldn't crash.  Derek, Gage and Dallin made it over the first waterfall, I was thrilled.  Brady, Amanda and Cam crashed on their attempt.  Again they grabbed Cam and had him right back on the tube! After they crashed Cam said, "I guess my force field doesn't work when I am nervous, and I was pretty nervous". He is so cute!
Bryson and Hayley
It was time for Cam to warm up!
These were pictures from the first night, the second day we went to the pool.  We had a great time, Dallin and Camden talked me into going on the big slides and I am glad they did.  They were so much fun! Bryson couldn't go on any of the slides he is too little, but he had blast anyway.  Then we went down the river and even I floated it.  We had so much fun, we decided to float a little bit more on Sunday before we had to go home!

Park City Tournament & Strikers Cup

Neil sponsored Dallin's soccer club this year.  All the boys were given a warm up shirt with Flexpak on it.  I am not sure who was more excited about the shirts, Neil or Dallin! Neil had a golf tournament for work and so he could not come up to Park City.  We spent him these pictures so he could see how the shirts turned out!

I really should preface this trip with some information.  The boys went to Branson with Neil, they flew in on Wednesday night and we had to be up at Park City Thursday morning.  They called me Wednesday morning and Dallin wasn't feeling good, he had a terrible earache.  He was miserable when they landed on Wednesday night.  I met them at the airport because I couldn't wait another minute to see them.  I called the doctor on the way home to try to get him in somewhere.  Luckily I found a clinic opened and he had a massive double ear infection.
I felt bad for him and we weren't sure if he was going to be able to play because he hurt so bad.  The first game was pretty rough for him.  I honestly can't remember what we won or lost at the tournament.  Dallin played pretty good, but towards the end of the game his Coach pulled him out and told me to get him on the ground with a cool towel.  I really appreciated his coach looking out for him, because he wasn't looking so good.
His second game he was feeling somewhat better, at half time I went over and used my essential oils on him.  Another one of the coaches from our club told me to quit mothering him (he was just joking).  I told him he was playing with a double ear infection, and his coach said hey leave her alone I need Dallin in this game.  That made Dallin and I both feel pretty good, because I was feeling like a horrible mom having him play.
Thankfully he really started feeling better by end of the second day.  We had a day without any games so we headed up for the Alpine slides! I lucked out this year and Camden was tall enough to go his own, so I was able to ride with Bryson.
 On the ski lift up!

 Getting ready for our ride!
I wanted to make sure I went behind Cam incase he went slow because he was a little nervous about going!

Well it was a good thing I was behind him, because I caught up to him half way down.  I am not sure if he had a really slow sled, but I really think the problem was he just doesn't weigh enough.  He had a hard time pushing the stick down which allowed you to go faster.  I pushed him down the rest of the way.  We had fun anyway! Then the boys wanted to do the Eagle thing again!
Then it was time for ice cream! I guess we wore Bryson out, because he was sound asleep before he had a bite of it!
Poor Camden got stung as we were walking into the ice cream shop.  He was pretty brave though!

That night we met Sheri, McKenna and Bridger for dinner.  I am bummed I didn't take a picture of all of us at dinner.  Obviously by my lack of photos I didn't do so well the entire trip! In fact I forgot my good camera, so all we have a phone pictures.  We were trying to decide what to do after dinner, some kids wanted to go swimming but Dallin couldn't swim with his ear infections.  We decided to hit the alpine slides again.  We went in the early evening and it was perfect! The lines weren't very long, and the weather was fantastic! I think I am going to try to go at night every time now! Sheri went down first and was able to get some pictures of us.

I love doing this tournament probably for the fact that we get to go up and play as well as watch soccer.  We always have fun! I really can't remember how we did in the tournament I think we got to the Semi's but lost.  Man I hate that I got so behind on my blogging.  I hope this is a lesson learned!
Our next tournament was Strikers Cup in Layton.  It was a really good tournament for the boys.  After the spring season ended, they did tryouts and really mixed up the boys.  We were playing with half a new team.  Their first tournament was really rough to watch, but they really improved a lot of the summer! They made it to the semi finals again.  We were up against a Wild Cats team and they are a really good team.  I loved the few pictures I got because they really show the intensity that Dallin plays with!
I always have to include a tongue shot!
I love these next ones, pure determination on both of their faces!

After these pictures the game was too intense for me to take any pictures.  We ended up tied at the end of the game and we were losing lighting really quick.  They decided there wouldn't be enough light to go into overtime, so we headed for a PK shoot out!  Our goalie was a brand new goalie and had never done a shoot out, nor had any of our boys had to shoot in one.  We ended up losing in the shoot out, but I was so happy for the boys for how hard they worked, and how far they had come as a team.  Working on these pictures sure make me miss soccer, good thing we are starting indoor soon!
